5 York is a hidden gem in the heart of Alfama. It makes the best burger in Lisbon or, dare I say, Portugal, as well as really tasty tostas and bifanas, among other food choices. In addition to the tasty food, the true taste in music is something that is worth mentioning! The prices are very cheap and the owners are wonderful and make you feel at home. One cannot ask for a better place to eat, drink and relax, highly recommended!
5 Went there for a quick lunch and beer - stayed for an hour. The bifana was incredible, freshly made lemonade, and the ginjahna to finish it off. Was the best bifana I had! Manager and server were great and talkative. Loved this place!
5 Great little place in Alfama. Some of the best caiprioska's I've come across and at €5.50 each are some of the best value to be found anywhere. My partner really enjoyed her vegan burger, it isn't fake meat but the patty was great. Also home made, hand cut batata fritas that were well seasoned. Definitely stop in, also a pretty clean toilet which is great.
5 We has such a good time hanging out with friends, drinking beer just outside the place on the amazing street/tables! The owners are so friendly and make some great bar food. Nice veggie burger, bifana, french fries and an amazing hotdog with excellent toppings (got to try the hotdog). Remember it is cash only, there is an ATM a few stores down from the place.
5 The loveliest bar in Lisbon, Dario and Hugo make you feel like you're at home. We stayed in Lisbon for 5 days and we went to this bar every night, it is an amazing place where both locals and tourists like us get to talk to each other. We will come back for sure!
5 We stopped by York Bar in Lisbon and had such a great experience. The owner’s son and the bartender, Carlo, were amazing ,,warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we walked in. The service felt very personal, not rushed, and they made us feel completely at home. Delicious cocktails and a relaxed atmosphere made it a perfect place to unwind. Highly recommend stopping by for a drink if you’re in the area!
